Sudan and Ethiopia Sign Agreement to End Double Taxation
Khartoum, Jan. 1 (SUNA) - Sudan and Ethiopia signed an agreement ending double taxation between the two countries. State Minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ali Karti signed for Sudan and the Ethiopian Foreign Minister, Seyom Mesfin, signed for his country. Karti pointed out in a statement to SUNA following the signing of the agreement that it will encourage businessmen and investors because it ends double taxation, adding that it represents one of the requirements included in the charter of Sana'a Forum for Cooperation which necessitates coordination and cooperation in all domains, specially in the economic field. Karti explained that the agreement would guarantee an easy and flexible economic performance between the two countries. Meanwhile, the Ethiopian Foreign Minister said the agreement is considered as an important legal framework that will help promoting the economic and investment relations linking the two countries.
