Karti to Begin South American Tour Friday
Khartoum, Aug. 14 (SUNA) - State Minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ali Karti is to begin Friday a tour of a number of South American countries as envoy of the President of the Republic carrying written messages to Presidents of Cuba, Venezuela, Brazil and Argentina. Karti said to SUNA that the messages deal with briefing the leaders of those countries on Sudan's stance rejecting the allegations of the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) and the serious efforts being exerted for realization of peaceful solution to Darfur issue as well as achievement of stability and development there. Director of the International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Rahmatallah Mohamed Osman told SUNA that Karti would also meet with Ministers of Foreign Affairs in those countries to explain the position of Sudan from ICC allegations.
