Darfur, Sudan (AHN) - While most of Hollywood is still celebrating or recovering from the Academy Awards, Angelina Jolie is in Africa working with refugees.
The humanitarian is visiting the continent to talk to Sudanese refugees living in Eastern Chad.
The U.N Goodwill Ambassador has ended her two day trip to the country and released a statement regarding the disturbing conditions facing the homeless people.
The statement released via the U.N High Commissioner for Refugees, said, "It's always hard to see decent people, families, living in such difficult conditions. What is most upsetting is how long it is taking the international community to answer this crisis."
With the International Criminal Court announcing that individuals will be punished for war crimes committed, Jolie said, "Today, many refugees seemed to have a new sense of hope and they want to see those guilty brought to trial."
While Jolie is away from her family, Brad Pitt's mother is reportedly looking after her three children.
According to E! Online, Maddox, Zahara and Shiloh are being cared for by their paternal grandmother, Jane Pitt, who has been pictured in the New Orleans French Quarter with her granddaughters.
