To my friend who wrote to me in English in a very pessimistic style ,
fearing approaching the age of 60 while so many projects still remained unaccomplished.

I did not accomplish major achievements to make them happy- remaining time is not more than what passed- At last, … I kindly request family members, friends, colleagues to forgive me for whatever mistakes I did or whatever wrong thought I had, in mind or heart. At this moment I promise all to keep my heart clean, my pulse will beat for love to all whom I knew or whom I will.” End of his message.

I say:

dear brother …. , Happy birthday and longer you live ….
But also while you are celebrating advent of the 60th in such a gloomy style, always bear in mind that nobody on earth knows how long he is going to live, nor of course where he will die and what he will gain tomorrow!! All such destinies as we have been instructed in the Holy Qur’an, are in the Hand of God ONLY.
For success and happiness, as you know, there is no standard measurement for success and happiness in this life since it is a relative affair, and what you may consider a success might be the reverse for others. Also happiness depends on how you view things. In spite of all life difficulties and the dark enveloping our world in various occasions, we are always requested to keep the smile and the bright picture on,
as the poet had said: Be graceful (kind and loving), and you will see everything around as beautiful too)...You are already kind and loving!.
On the other hand, I think the love of your family to you and the seeds of love you seed in their hearts, equals the whole treasures which you dream of, or aspire to leave for them… Also, Since you remained all your life struggling to bring them up, showing them the righteous way
and giving them good education, and physical and moral support, I think you have fully executed all your obligations towards them as a parent !!! Accordingly, under this assumption, you are not supposed to feel liable for any other inconveniences, and each member whether to be rich or poor, happy or unhappy also relies on his own (written) fate and destiny, regardless of what you wish for him/her... This is the point..
Henceforth dear friend, cheer up and keep the pulse and heart beatings on
as you have said, and strive as much as you can to stay in good health and mood, for the sake of yourself, your family as well as for your friends and all those who love you.
Who knows as projects, for Allah, are accomplished according to his will within times ranging from years to a single second or even an eye glimpse, “ If God intends to do something, He just say to it be and it will be”…I mean you might accomplish in the forthcoming days or years what you have failed to do in the past half of the century…
May Allah extend our life in His obeying and fearing as the main key for opening the doors of happiness, and bestow his mercy on us all, Aameeen.
