Sudan takes part in the Ministerial conference on the least developed countries in India
New Delhi, Feb. 19 (SUNA)- The State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Kamal Hassan Ali, is leading the Sudan delegation to the Ministerial meeting of the least developed countries, currently in session in India
The Minister has met on the sideline of the conference with the Indian prime minister, along with other ministers taking part in the conference The minister, Ali, has also conferred with Mr. S Ahmed, the Indian State Minister of foreign affairs and talked with him on the latest developments on the Sudanese scene, particularly the referendum and other developments related to it
The minister also briefed his Indian counterpart on the developments in Darfur and the peace efforts currently underway in Doha, Qatar
He also reassured the Indian official that the two sides to the Comprehensive Peace Agreement would overcome all issues related to the implementation of the agreement, well before the CPA expires in July this year
The Indian official has meanwhile stressed that his country would back the Sudan and would assist in all efforts aimed at stability and development of the Sudan
