El-Fashir to host DDR workshop Monday
El-Fashir, Aug. 1(SUNA) - The Disarmament, Demobilization and Re-integration (DDR) Commission is organizing a workshop in El-Fashir Monday on its programmes, Security of the Society, Peace Culture as well as controlling small arms with the participation of political, legislative, executive, justice, military and native administration leaders in the State
In this connection, the Commissioner of the DDR for the States of Darfur, Ismail Ahmed Al-Rabie, said to SUNA that the workshop, the first of its kind in Darfur, aims at introducing the programmes and plans of the DDR for the realization of social peace, peaceful co-existence as well as controlling small weapons
Meanwhile, Director of the DDR Commission in North Darfur State, Maj.Gen. (Retrd.) Abdou Mohammed Abdullah welcomed the convocation of the Workshop in El-Fashir, affirming that it would come out with positive results that would support the peace and security in Darfur
