Wali of South Korofan: Partial Election in the State Copes with Requirements of Current Stage
Khartoum, Mar. 15 (SUNA)- The Wali (governor) of South Kordofan State, Ahmed Haroun, affirmed that the decision of the National Election Commission on partial postponement of the elections in his state copes with the requirements of the current stage in South Kordofan State which necessitate preserving peace and realizing political stability and security, as a top priority
In a statement to SUNA, Haroun said that the decision of the National Elections Commission provides opportunity for arrangement of the elections in the state in a manner that guarantees participation of all the political forces, referring to the request forwarded by the two partners in this regard as a joint vision and the consultations with the other political forces in the state about this issue
He affirmed that the national elections for the presidency and the National Assembly will be held in South Kordofan State in the fixed time and with participation of all the political forces, including Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM)
