Dr. Nafie Receives Envoy of Japan to Sudan
Khartoum, Jan. 25 (SUNA) - Deputy Chairman of the National Congress for the Party's Affairs, Dr. Nafie Ali Nafie, received Monday at the headquarters of the party the envoy of Japan to Sudan and acquainted him with the developments at the Sudanese arena, especially with regard to the arrangements for the elections and the ongoing efforts for making a success the peace negotiations in Doha. The meeting reviewed the role of Japan in boosting the peace process in Sudan. Dr. Nafie has appreciated the role of Japan in supporting the elections, as Japan has donated 10 million dollars to the National Election Commission. The Japanese envoy affirmed his country's keenness to maintain consultation with Sudan and to support the stability in the country. MO/MO
