Authorities in Sudan destroy an Episcopal Church

Local authorities in Khartoum N destroyed yesterday an Episcopal Church, which was established 25 years ago, using bulldozers and other local machines, under intense security forces prevalence. The authorities attributed the destruction that the christians has had no permission to build the church in this region.

 

 

But the Bishop said yesterday in a press release that they applied two months ago to the ministry of guidance and endowment to cancel the removal decision or give them a piece of land in a  planned area for the re-establishment of the Church.

 

But instead of responding to his request, the authorities proceeded to remove the church. The Bishop added that he and his followers were very much surprised by this action. And he pointed out that the Church was established in 1987.
