Parek
If you do not know what I stand for is not my problem .. right? I have never in my life supported or advocated for war only in case of self defense. Take these words and measure them angainst anything I have ever written since I came to the board, you would not find any discrepencies.
I have been very well known for taking grand stand on issue such as racism, rapes, killings, forced labour and displacement of people from their home areas. Take Abyei situation, I continuously asked for separation between what is social from what is political. I believe whatever the outcome will be to the administrative status of Abyei, both, Messiriyya and Dinka Ngok should remain in their land and practice their historical rights, which sustain their livelihood. Also, I strongly believe that the Nuba people in South Kordofan should be given special status as of those of Indian Americans, I believe grazing rights should be preserved from any infusion.
And, believe it or not, I belive in a Sudanese Exceptionalism, just like the American Exceptionalism, as core of our Sudanese character; had we given ourselves a chance to tape deep in our exceptional qualities, our amicability, our fraternity, we would have been better off than what we are seeing now of distracting ourselves in feudalism, demeanorizing and conspiring about each other, and mutual destruction of our resources and capabilities.
Our people are brave; they can keep fighting each other forever, but we only win when we resort to peace - no other way around.
Thanks Bir
