On an initiative of the Beja Congress all Sudanese opposition parties, civil society organizations and leading personalities in the United Kingdom held a meeting on the 19.02.2012 in Hume Hall in Manchester. The discussion lasted for 3 hours.

The main agenda was the political crisis in Sudan, the mounting suppression and violence of the regime against the political opponents, launching war in south Kordofan and Blue Nile States, signs of eminent war between the two states and the economical crisis.

The discussions were very fruitful. The international community is expected to put increased pressure on the regime to incurb its violence.
