President Al-Bashir lauds Sudan - South Africa relations

Khartoum, Feb. 14 (SUNA) - President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al Bashir, has appreciated the relations between the Sudan and South Africa in all domains.
During his meeting Tuesday evening at the Guests House with the delegation of the ruling party in South Africa by the end of their visit to Sudan, the President of the Republic indicated that Sudan is one of the first independent states that have supported the struggle of South Africa against apartheid. 
He said that the corporation between the two countries has expanded and is being reflected in the efforts of the former president of South Africal, Thapo Mbeki, for achieving peace in Sudan.
He pointed out that the door of Sudan is open for the South African investment in all fields, referring to the resources and capabilities of the two countries which qualify them to lead Africa. 
Meanwhile, Dr. Qotbi Al Mahdi, the head of the Political Sector of the National Congress, has described the visit of the delegation of the ruling party of South Africa as successful and has opened a new chapter of cooperation between the two countries.
