Assistant of President reviews progress of Sudanese-Kuwaiti relations with Kuwaiti Ambassador

Khartoum, Feb. 13 (SUNA)- Assistant of the President of the Republic, Musa Mohammed Ahmed, affirmed Sudan's keenness to boost its bilateral relations and aspects of cooperation with the State of Kuwait , particularly in the economic and investment domains.

This came when he received at his office at the Republican Palace Monday the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Sudan, Suleiman Abdullah Al-Harbi. 

The Kuwaiti Ambassador said in a statement to the Press after the meeting that he briefed the Assistant of the President on the arrangements pertaining the decisions of the donor's conference with regard to the development and reconstruction of Eastern Sudan. 

The Ambassador explained that the Assistant of the President expressed his appreciations to the Amir, Government and people of Kuwait over supporting Sudan's issues, calling for increasing cooperation with the Eastern Sudan Reconstruction and Development Fund (ESRDF) in order to implement the decisions of the Kuwait conference on development of Eastern Sudan.

Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti Ambassador said he discussed with the Assistant of the President the efforts to complete sport City of Sudan, in his capacity as a Chairman of the High Committee assigned with the competition of Sport City of Sudan. The Ambassador conveyed the concern of his country with the development of bilateral relations with Sudan in the fields of Sport and Youth, affirmed intention to assist the high committee in order to complete the Sport City of Sudan.
