Al-Tahir meets with Tantawi, Ketatni and Badie in Cairo

Cairo, Feb. 9 (SUNA)- The Speaker of the National Assembly, Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Tahir, and the accompanying delegation have met with Chairman of the Egyptian Military Council, Field Marshal Mohamed HusseinTantawi, and conveyed to him the congratulations of the President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, and the National Assembly on the occasion of the new parliamentary election.
Al-Tahir expressed his wishes for continuity of the democratic change in Egypt.
The meeting tackled the economic relations between the two countries and ways for reactivating of the cooperation in all domains, particularly in agricultural field.
Meanwhile, the Speaker of the Egyptian People's Assembly Dr. Mohamed Al-Katatni, received Al-Tahir and the accompanying delegation and discussed means of boosting the cooperation between the Egyptian People's Assembly and the Sudanese National Assembly in the coming stage.
Al-Tahir and the accompanying delegation also met with the General Leader of Muslim Brotherhood, Dr. Mohamed Badie, and reviewed the latest development in Egypt.
Al-Tahir is accompanied during his current visit to Egypt by a number of senior officials, including Dr. Ibrahim Ahmed Omer , Dr. Ghazi Salahuddin, Ustaza Raja'a Hassan Khalifa along with a number of chairpersons of the National Assembly's specialized committees.
