Foreign Ministry Announces End of the Chinese Hostages Crisis in South Kordofan

Khartoum, Feb. 7 (SUNA) - The efforts exerted by the government of Sudan represented in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have succeeded in putting an end to the crisis of the Chinese hostages lately abducted by the rebels of Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM) in South Kordofan State.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Sudanese authorities have permitted a plane of the Red Crescent to transport the released Chinese workers on Tuesday from Kawda in South Kordofan to the Kenyan capital, Nairobi and to deliver them to the Embassy of China there.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its thanks to all the parties that have coordinated efforts and contributed to carrying out the release process, top of them was the People's republic of China and the International Committee of the Red Cross.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs assured to the government and people of China that Sudan government is keen to protect the Chinese investments and workers in Sudan.
The ministry also affirmed its denunciation of the trend the rebellion to use the civilians as human shields.
