President Al-Bashir Condoles Field Marshal Tantawi on Martyrdom of Tens of Egyptian Citizens at Port-Saeed Stadium

Khartoum, Feb. 2 (SUNA)- President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, Thursday evening made a telephone call with Chairman of the Egyptian Military Council, Field Marshal Hussein Tantawi, and expressed the condolence of the Sudanese people over the martyrdom of tens of Egyptians at Port-Saeed Stadium.
Through the telephone call, President Al-Bashir affirmed Sudan support to Egypt's security and stability as well as the stand of the Sudanese people alongside their Egyptian brothers to surpass the current tragedy.
He said that the martyrs of Egypt are martyrs of Sudan, affirming the keenness of Sudan to consolidate further its fraternal ties with Egypt.
President Al-Bashir asked Field Marshal Tantawi to convey his condolences and those of the Sudanese people to the families of the martyrs of the incidents that followed the football match between Al-Ahli and Al-Masri of Port-Saeed.
