Sudan Government rejects US call for making corridors of relief delivery for rebel -held areas

Khartoum, Jan.20(SUNA)-The Government of Sudan has categorically affirmed rejection attempt of making corridors for humanitarian access to States of South Kordofan and Blue Nile without participation of the Government, the Humanitarian Aid Commission(HAC) and the national organization in order to guarantee that assistance will not be given to fighters.
HAC General Commissioner, Dr. Sulieman Abdul-Rahman Sulieman said in a statement to SUNA that he was doubt about they information, the US Envoy to United Nations, Susan Rice about the humanitarian situations of the affected people in the SPLM-held areas in the two States.
Dr Sulieman demanded Rice to uncover the source of information she got and to give explanation for US motives behind delivering assistance to the affected people without participation of the Government of Sudan and the national organizations.
The Commissioner stressed that the experience of lifeline Sudan which prolonged the war in the South Sudan would not replicate.

He called on US Envoy to devote her efforts on cessation of hostilities , ceasefire and finding solution to the route causes of the problem rather than focusing on repercussions of the problem.AS/AS
