Taha pledges support to culture, cultural institutions in implementing revival cultural project
Khartoum, Feb. 14 (SUNA)- Vice President of the Republic, Ali Osman Mohamed Taha, pledged to support to culture and the cultural institutions as well as assisting them in assuming their roles in implementing a renewable and revival cultural project
This came when the Vice President addressed Monday the 1st meeting of the Ministers of Culture in the States at the premises of Council of Ministers
Taha stressed the importance of involving the creative and intellectual persons to realize the cultural revival in Sudan, urging the concerned persons to take the initiative in presenting a genuine cultural project and to involve the grass roots and the whole society
The Vice President affirmed the importance of utilizing the culture and negative impacts of the separation of the South to be a fresh positive impetus that would push the country forward and enhance contacts with the separated part in a view that culture knows no geographical borders
Taha also urged the Ministers of Culture in the states to revise their action plans in order to support the mission of culture in the society, highlighting on the importance of establishing mobile theatres all over the country
