Taha attend signing ceremony of electricity provision for the agricultural projects

 

Khartoum, Jan. 22 (SUNA) - Vice-President of the Republic and Chairman of the High Council of the Agricultural Development, Ali Osman Mohamed Taha, is to attend on Sunday at the Friendship Hall a ceremony on signing a contract for provision of electricity to the agricultural schemes in different states. The contract is to be signed between the Sudanese Agricultural Bank and the Sudanese Company for Distributing Electricity

 

The total cost of the project is estimated at 100 million pounds

 

The governors of the Shamalia, Nahr el Nil, North Kordufan, Bleu Nile, White Nile, Sennar and Kassala States are to attend the ceremony along with the Ministers for Finance, Agricultural, Irrigation, Electricity and Dams and the Governor of the Central Bank of Sudan, Farmers' Union and legislators from the local and national levels

 

Director of the General Administration for the Planning and Project of the Sudanese Company for Electricity Distribution, Engineer Al-Manzoul Musa Ibrahim told the Sudan News Agency (SUNA) that the project would serve in its first stage some fifty thousand farmers adding that the project will then be expanded to cover the rest of the state
