Taha Launches Safety Micro-Finance Budget
Khartoum, July 11 (SUNA)- Vice - President of the Republic, Ali Osman Mohamed Taha, inaugurated at the Friendship Hall Sunday the Safety Budget for Micro-Finance which was established through partnership between the Zakat Chamber and the banks, the chamber paid 50 million pounds and the banks contributed 150 for the budget
Taha hoped that the Safety Micro-Finance Budget will cope with the goals of the Islamic economic system and Millennium
He said the election programme of the President of the Republic includes the combating of poverty, indicating establishment of the Safety Micro-Finance Budget is a step on the right track
Taha called on the Zakat Chamber to contribute to finding new mechanisms and formulas for reducing the rate of poverty in the society
