Taha Calls for Close Coordination between Concerned Organs on Agricultural Funding
Khartoum, Feb. 23 (SUNA)- Vice - President of the Republic and Chairman of the Higher Council for the Agricultural Development Campaign, Ali Osman Mohamed Taha, has given instruction for strengthening the coordination between the Ministries of Finance and Agriculture, the Bank of Sudan and the Agricultural Bank on the issues of agricultural funding
This came when he chaired Wednesday a meeting of the departments of the Higher Council for the Agricultural Development Campaign
Taha called for commitment to realizing the production rates determined by the Ministry of Agriculture, getting assured about prevalence of adequate water and solving the water bottlenecks to guarantee success of the agricultural season and increasing the productivity of the rain-fed sector
Meanwhile, the meeting reviewed a report presented by Deputy Director of the Sudanese Farmer's Bank project of the TV production for the projects of the Agricultural Development Campaign
The Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Abdul-Halim Ismail Al-Muaafi, presented at the meeting the general features of the plan of his ministry for increasing the productivity and exports in the summer season in the year 2011 - 2012
