Sudanese Air Bridge in support of Libyan people
Khartoum, Mar. 19, 2011 (SUNA) - The Higher Committee for the popular campaign to support the Libyan people is dispatching the first shipment of relief material to the Libyan people this week as part of an air bridge to that country
The Chairman of the Higher Committee, Ibrahim said Abdul Halim told SUNA that the initiative comes as part of the solidarity and support with the brotherly peoples during hard circumstances, natural disasters, wars and conflicts. He explained that the support will continue until the Libyan people overcome the current crisis
He urged all Sudanese people to participate in the blood donation campaign set to begin next Friday in some mosques in Khartoum State
He explained that the High Committee will announce the number of accounts in various banks through various media in order to donate money in support of the Libyan people
Meanwhile, the Medical Committee revealed the intention to dispatch delegations including some doctors and medical cadres besides other technical delegations to Libya in the coming days
