Sudan, Austria Hold Joint Parliamentary Talks

 

Khartoum, Dec.8(SUNA)-The National Assembly's External Relations Affairs Committee which is chaired by Mahdi Ibrahim held talks with the visiting Austrian delegation led by Austria Foreign Minister, Michael Spindelegger

 

The meeting affirmed the strength of relations between Sudan and Austria and expressed keenness to boost them further

 

The Sudanese side briefed the members of the Austrian delegation on nature of the parliament's work in Sudan and its supervisory and legislative role with respect to issues of concern to citizens. The Committee commended Austria' continued support to Sudan

 

The members of the Austrian delegation expressed pleasure over their visit to Sudan , saying the aim of their visit was to get acquainted with the latest political developments in Sudan, reiterating Austria 's readiness to cooperate with Sudan for realizing permanent security , peace, and stability

 

Spindelegger called on the two partners of Naivasha Agreement , the National Congress and Sudan People's Liberation Movement(SPLM) to keep North-South cooperation on economic, social and cultural domains in case of separation.ASAS.
