State Minister at Oil Ministry Meets Chairman of CNPC in Beijing
Khartoum, Oct. 11 (SUNA) - The State Minister at the Ministry of Oil, Engineer Ali Ahmed Osman, met during his visit to China, during October 6 - 10, with chairman of the Chinese National Petroleum Company (CNPC) and reviewed a number of issues, including ways to speed up the exploration of oil and increasing the productivity at all the oil squares in general and the squares existing in north Sudan especially
The minister has accepted the call of the company for investment at new oil squares, including the squares (9) and (11)
The minister congratulated the company's chairman on the occasion of the National Day of China and appreciated the role of CNPC in bolstering the oil industry in Sudan
The meeting discussed the great role being played by China in the field of development in Sudan
The minister has lauded the distinguished ties between Sudan and China, referring to the major facilities given by Sudan to the Chinese companies operating in the country
Meanwhile, chairman of CNPC pledged to boost the cooperation between his company and Sudan, expressing the desire of his country to operate at the oil squares (9) and (11)
He said that his company will continue to cooperate with Sudan whatever the result of the referendum
