State Minister at Ministry of Social Security and Welfare Affirms Government Concern with Children Protection
Khartoum, Dec. 29 (SUNA) - The State Minister at the Ministry of Social Welfare and Security, Adel Awad, has affirmed the government commitment to children protection as they are the future of the nation
He referred to the role of Islamic Sharia which governs the pringing up, protection and follow up of the children through the teachings of the glorified Islamic religion
Addressing a workshop on the situation of the Sudanese children working abroad, which was organized by the National Council for the Childhood Welfare in collaboration with the Organ of the Sudanese Working Abroad at the hall of the council Wednesday, Awad called for coordinating the efforts of the concerned parties and the mass media and other organs to work on issues for the welfare and protection for the children of the Sudanese people working abroad
He stated that those children need welfare and care whereas the responsibility of the family was not adequate to assume this role
He reviewed the socio-economic difficulties which face this slice of the children in diaspora, urging enactment of special legislation for this segment
