Speaker of Parliament Receives Romanian Ambassador

 

Khartoum, Feb. 23 (SUNA) - The Speaker of National Assembly, Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Tahir, has reviewed the progress of the Sudanese - Romanian relations and means of boosting them further at all domains

 

This came when Al-Tahir received the Ambassador of Romania in Khartoum, accompanied by a team from the official Romanian TV at the premises of the National Assembly Wednesday

 

Al-Tahir appreciated at the meeting the strong relations between Sudan and Romania, and gave a briefing on the recent developments in the country following the recent referendum of southern Sudan, besides the situation in Darfur, highlighting on the great success in the ground in this regard

 

The Romanian Ambassador affirmed the desire of his country to support Sudan in all the domains, particularly the Investment field

 

It is to be noted that a high-ranking Romanian parliamentary delegation is expected to visit Sudan in the near future as part of the efforts to consolidate the parliamentary relations between the two friendly states

 

The Romanian TV team then made a prolonged interview with the Speaker of the National Assembly through which he focused on the bilateral relations and the achievement of Romania in Sudan, including establishment of the current building of the Sudanese Parliament
