Khartoum, Nov. 2 (SUNA) - Chairman of the Assessment and Evaluation Commission of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA), Sir Derek Plumbly, has expressed optimism over success of the south Sudan referendum, in spite of the impediments and the short timeframe
Sir Plumbly held talks Tuesday with Chairman of the Commission for South Sudan Referendum, Prof. Mohamed Ibrahim Khalil, in the context of the follow up to the preparations pertinent to launching the referendum of the south
Chairman of the Assessment and Evaluation Commission said in a press statements that he was optimistic over success of the referendum process as all the parties are working for the one goal of Holding of the Referendum
He said that they discussed the preparations and the outstanding impediments, asserting that the time is short and there were other obstacles concerning the funding of the referendum process, hoping to hear from the two CPA partners and the international community that they will provide the adequate funding for that procedural complicated process
