Separation should not be the end for the North-South relation, says Dr. Gai

Khartoum, Jan.26(SUNA)-Presidential Advisor, Dr Riek Gai said the people of South Sudan appreciate the President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir for his role in ending the war and realizing peace and stability in the country by implementing the Comprehensive Peace Agreement(CPA) and by giving positive affirmations and assurances in all occasions that mitigated tensions between the Southerners and the Northerners

Gai , speaking in press conference he held in his Office in Khartoum Wednesday, said the National Congress has fulfilled its promises and that if separation occurred it should not be the end of relations between the South and the North, saying the components of common history and heritage are to be employed in this regard

He urged all parties to work in the coming period for finding a future that embraces all with benefit, calling on the political elites to distance themselves from negative statements and to bring the positive indications of the President's address in Juba into reality. AS/AS
