Presidential Advisor: People of Sudan astonished the world by accepting referendum results in a civilized way
Khartoum, Feb. 7 (SUNA) - The Presidential Aadvisor, Ustaza Raja Hassan Khalifa, said that the people of Sudan have astonished the whole world by accepting the results of the referendum of southern Sudan in a civilized way
This came in her address at the extraordinary sitting of the Council of Ministers Monday on the occasion of the announcement of the results of the referendum process, saying that the peace road is a long and difficult one, saying that the referendum is one of the fruits of the comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) which laid down the foundation of peace and stability in the country
The Presidential Advisor said that the Sudanese women in the North and South Sudan have suffered a lot during the war, adding that the fruits of peace are now being enjoyed by all those who suffered from the bitterness of war
She congratulated the people of Sudan in general and the South in particular on the occasion of the conclusion of the referendum as well as accepting the referendum result in a civilized way that affirmed to the whole world that the people of Sudan are aware about the importance of the peace achievement and that they would work to maintain this peace
