President Al-Bashir returns home from State of Qatar
Khartoum, March 31
(SUNA) - President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, returned home
Thursday afternoon after a short visit to the State of Qatar
Meanwhile, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ali Ahmed Karti, said that
the visit was aimed to discuss the latest regional and international
developments and affirmed the will to solve the issue of Darfur
Karti said that a considerable part of the International Community is now
enthusiastic to push forward the efforts to solve the issue of Darfur
The minister attributed this concern with Darfur issue to the remarkable
shifts that the Middle East and North Africa are undergoing, which led to
complete change in a number of countries such as in Tunisia and Egypt, besides
the revolution in Libya
Karti said that such movements have positively influenced the concern of
the International Community to solve the issue of Darfur
The minister urged the Darfurian Movements currently in Doha to act
positively and called on the absent movements to join the Doha negotiations
forum on Darfur
