President Al-Bashir inaugurates Umrawaba Power Station
Umrawaba, Feb. 8 (SUNA) - President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, Monday inaugurated the electricity power Station of Umrawaba town, a step that means linking the North Kordufan State with the National Electricity Network
Present in the occasion were the Wali (Governor) of North Kordufan State, Mutasim Hussein Zakiddin, Minister of Electricity and Dam Eng. Osama Abdullah and number of federal and State Ministers as well as Ministers in the Government of North Kordufan
Addressing the occasion, the President said the inauguration of the power Station of Umrawaba comes as part of the plan of the government to link all the towns of South Kordufan and Darfur, reiterating the concern of the Government to expand in such vital projects in order to serve the development of Agriculture and Industry
Meanwhile, the Wali of North Kordufan State commended the efforts of the federal government as well as its support to his State, particularly in linking it with the National Electricity Network
