President Al-Bashir gives directives for the good preparation for London Olympics
Khartoum, Oct. 13 (SUNA) - President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, Wednesday pledged indefinite support to the projects of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and gave instruction for pressing ahead in completing the infrastructure projects, including the Athletics City, as well as the good preparations for the Olympics of London in the year 2012
This came when the President received at his office at the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers Wednesday the Minister of Youth and Sport, Haj Majed Suwar, who briefed the President on the projects being implemented by his Ministry, including the projects for preparation of the future leaders, youth recruitment opportunities as well as the political and intellectual development of youths
Meanwhile, the minister said in a statement to SUNA that the meeting stressed the importance of support to the national football team in order to continue its march in the African Nations Cup championship
