President Al-Bashir and Emir of Qatar Affirm Importance
of Speeding up completion of Final Negotiations with all
Movements
Doha, March 30 (SUNA)- President of the Republic, Field
Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, and the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa, have
underscored the continuity of the efforts for realization of peace in Darfur and
the importance of speeding up the process for holding final negotiations that
include all the armed movements in Darfur
Meanwhile, the Foreign Minister, Ali Karti, said that the talks between
President Al-Bashir and the Emir of Qatar were mainly focused on the issue of
peace in Darfur, indicating that the peace process in Darfur is receiving
support by all parties, adding that the peace process is getting a boost from a
country which he did not name
He said that Qatar has a strong determination to sponsor the negotiations
in Doha, adding that the dialogue is complementary to the efforts of the
government inside Sudan
Karti referred to a common vision that the coming negotiations sessions
shall be final and include all the armed movements
He pointed out that the government has serious desire for reaching an end
to the dispute in Darfur, hoping that the efforts of Qatar will achieve success
and will include all those who joined the negotiations
