President Al-Bashir Receives Visiting Delegation of Qatari Museums Corporation
Khartoum, Feb. 16 (SUNA) - President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, received Wednesday evening the visiting Chairperson of the Qatari Museums Corporation, Sheikha Mayassa bint Hamad bint Khalifa Al-Thani, and the accompanying delegation, in the presence of the Presidential Advisor, Dr. Mustafa Osman Ismail, and the Minister of Tourism, Dr. Ahmed Babiker Nihar, and appreciated the stance of Qatar in supporting Sudan at all fields
In a press statement to SUNA after the meeting, the General Director of the Qatari Museums Corporation, Abdalla Al-Najar, said that the Qatari delegation informed President Al-Bashir on the Qatari - Sudanese antiquity exploration project which would begin shortly and the steps for its implementation
He said that they also acquainted President Al-Bashir with the outcome of the visit paid by Sheikha Mayassa to antiquities sites in Sudan, including Al-Bajrawiya, Ras Al-Naqaa and Al-Musawarat in Nahral-Neil State, besides their visit to Meshaireb project which is being implemented by the Qatari Al-Diyar Estate investment Company
