President Al-Bashir Meets Board of Trustees of Africa International University
Khartoum, Jan. 12 (SUNA)- President of the Republic and patron of Africa International University, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, stressed that Sudan will maintain continuous contacts with Africa, and that the separation of south Sudan will not stand a barrier before the spreading of the Arab and Islamic culture in Africa
This came during his meeting Thursday evening at the Guest House with members of the Board of Directors of Africa International University
Present at the meeting were the Presidential Advisor and chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University, Dr. Mustafa Osman Ismail., and the Vice Chancellor of the university. Dr. Hassan Mekki
Meanwhile, President Al-Bashir appreciated the spreading of the university graduates in different African countries and their role in expanding Da'awa, establishing mosques and assuming leading positions
President Al-Bashir affirmed the state keenness to support Africa International University, calling on the university's board of trustees to give concern to the Muslims of south Sudan
He said that the colonialists have fought Islam and the Arabic language in south Sudan and applied the Closed Districts Law in the south, the Nuba Mountains and the Blue Nile areas
President Al-Bashir said that the state has signed the Comprehensive Peace toward ending the war and deterioration, adding that Sudan is currently surpassing a turning point which is relating to the implementation of the peace agreement
