President Al-Bashir Forms Higher Committee for Support to Referendum and Unity under his Chairmanship
Khartoum, Nov. 7 (SUNA)- President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, has announced formation of the Higher Committee for Support to the Unity and Referendum under his chairmanship
The Deputies of the higher committee's Chairman are the First Vice-President and President of the Government of South Sudan, Salva Kiir, and the Vice - President, Ali Osman Mohamed Taha
The committee includes as members Mohamed Osman Al-Mirghani, Field Marshal Abdul-Rahman Suwaral-Dahab, Bona Malwal, Mohamed Yousif Abdalla and Prof. Ibrahim Ghandour
At his meeting Sunday evening with the leaders of the political parties at the Guest House, President Al-Bashir announced that the committee is composed of 11 sub-committees
Meanwhile, President Al-Bashir and leaders of the political parties deliberated about ways to pave the way for holding the referendum in early next January. The sub-committees would begin their work and meet extensively after Eid Al-Adha
