President Al-Bashir Affirms State Concern with Scientific Research
Khartoum, Feb. 25 (SUNA)- President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, has affirmed the government keenness to enhance the scientific research and the information mechanism for working out policies that are based on scientific means
This came in his address Friday evening to the Second Scientific Conference for Higher Education, which was organized by the University of Khartoum in the field of medical research
President Al-Bashir has donated a sum of one million Sudanese pounds in support of the scientific research annually
He also declared his pledge to fund an education scholarship from his own money under the name of his grandmother
President Al-Bashir said that the Second Scientific Conference convenes in the proper time when Sudan is bracing to build a healthy nation that is able to combat the challenges
He called on the participants and all the researchers to live to their role in leading fruitful scientific dialogue that serves the community, lauding the concern being given by the University of Khartoum with the scientific research
