NC Refutes Allegations Used by SPLM to Suspend Dialogue

Khartoum, March 13 (SUNA) - The National Congress (NC) has refuted the allegations used by the Sudanese People's Liberation Movement (SPLM) to suspend the dialogue between the two sides, describing the move as mere political maneuver to conceal the internal conflicts between the leaderships of the SPLM

The Chairman of the Joint Political Committee, General Salah Abdullah said, Sunday in a press conference held at the NC's HQs that the SPLM's Secretary General, Bagan Amuum has failed to prove the NC's involvement in supporting the rebelled militia against the government of South Sudan

The Security Advisor of the President of the Republic said that such allegations by the SPLM's were the result of the tribal disputes fed by powerful elements in the movement, explaining that the international mediators are now moving to contain the situation

Meanwhile, the NC'S Official Responsible for Abyei File, Al-Derderi Mohamed Ahmed held the SPLM responsible for the deployment of 2500 of its troops wearing police uniform to raise tension in the area
