Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirms fulfillment of all commitments towards the UNAMID
Khartoum, Jan. 25 (SUNA) The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed its fulfillment of all the commitments towards the work of the UNAMID in Darfur for the past period and it has provided them with the necessary visas. This came in the comment of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the report of the Secretary General of the United Nations, published on Monday in New York in which he expressed concern about the difficulties in obtaining entry visas, which hinders the work of the UNAMID in Darfur
The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , Khalid Musa, said to (SUNA) that issuance of visas is slow due to the administrative and procedure mistakes committed by the United Nations , in addition to the duplication of the channels of Visa application submitted by States individually and through United Nations channels, adding that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has presented its reservations about the mistakes in this regard to the United Nations by the Permanent Representative of Sudan in New York The spokesman criticized that the report was issued before the Meeting of the tripartite mechanism for the discussion this matter in Addis Ababa early next February, and reiterated Sudan's commitment to issue visas when they meet the required standards and information and to match the components of the forces of the UNAMID in Darfur
