Minister of Science and Technology to Chair First Meeting of Sudan Academy for Sciences Council
Khartoum, Aug. 24 (SUNA) - The Minister of Science and Technology and Chairman of the Council of Sudan Academy for Science, Dr. Issa Bashari, is due to chair the first meeting of the council after its new formation Wednesday to discuss a report on the annual performance of the academy in the year 2009 and first half of the year 2010
The Director of the Academy, Prof. Al-Tayeb Idris Issa, will also present a report on the current position of the academy
It is worth noting that the council's membership includes, besides the administration of the academy, chairpersons of the Research Corporation and centres and seven of Sudan scholars appointed by the President of the Republic, who are Prof. Mohamed Mandour Al-Mahdi, Prof. Moses Machar, Prof. Ahmed Al-Tayeb Ahmed, Prof. Al-Tag Fadlallah, Prof. Hassan Abbas Hassan, Prof. Mamoun Mohamed Ali Homeida and Prof. Mubark Mohamed Ali Al-Majzoub
