Minister of Interior inspects flood-affected areas in Port-Sudan
Port-Sudan, Jan. 3 (SUNA) - The Minister of Interior, Ibrahim Mahmoud Hamid, inspected the areas affected by floods and rains in Port-Sudan on Monday. The minister, who was accompanied by Minister of Urban Development in the Red Sea State and a number of the state government officials, said that his ministry has mapped out a plan to find a shelter for the affected persons in safe areas away from the floods course besides sending a spray plane to avoid any effects on the health of citizens of the state, adding that the ministry provided the affected persons with urgent assistances including tents, tarpaulins and pumps to withdraw the rains water. He affirmed continuity of the efforts by both the federal and state governments to handle the consequences of floods and rains, pointing out that the situation is under full control. IA
