Khartoum, Jan. 9 (SUNA) Minister of the Council of Ministers dr. Luka Biong Deng has described the start of the voting in the referendum of Southern Sudan as historic
He said after casting his ballot in the voting process for the referendum, which began today, that the biggest challenge now is that the referendum process should proceed smooth and with integrity he said, hoping that the future of the referendum would be sustainable peace, stability and good relations between the peoples of North and South Sudan regardless of the result of the referendum, he also praised the great effort excreted by the Commission of the referendum for the completion of the referendum process as required
Dr. luka made a tour to some of the polling stations in Khartoum , Omdurman and east of the Nile in which he was satisfied with the process of the voting
