Kiir and Chairman of Referendum Commission Review Timetable for Holding Referendum
Khartoum, Oct. 27 (SUNA)- The First Vice - President and President of the Government of South Sudan, Salva Kiir, received at his residence in Khartoum Chairman of the Commission for the Referendum of South Sudan, Prof. Mohamed Ibrahim Khalil
In a press statement after the meeting, Prof. Khalil said that he discussed with the First Vice - President and President of the Government of South a number of issues pertinent to the referendum
He said that the meeting underscored the importance of the referendum which represents a turning point in Sudan modern history
He referred to a number of impediments facing the commission's work, including the little time remained for holding the referendum and the insufficient funding for conducting it
