Khartoum Monitor and Hikayat Newspapers Suspended
Khartoum, Dec. 19 (SUNA0- The National Council for the Press and Publication has suspended issuance of the English-language Khartoum Monitor newspaper for two days on the background of its publishing of a number items, top of them was an article in the issue 1195 which included insulting to Prophet Jesus Christ and accusing him of AIDS infection, a matter which regarded by the Council of the Press and Publication as humiliation to all the heavenly religions and faiths. The council also suspended Hikayat newspaper for one day for its publishing to articles based on violation of the public decency. MO/MO
