Former US Ambassador Timothy Carney to give lecture at Ministry of Foreign Affairs Wednesday

Khartoum, Jan. 25 (SUNA) - The Forum of Ambassador Jamal Mohammed Ahmed is hosting a lecture Wednesday at the Greater Hall of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by Mr. Timothy Carney, a retired US Career diplomat and consultant, who was the last US Ambassador in Sudan before closing the American Embassy in Khartoum in 1996 and moving it to Nairobi, Kenya

Ambassador Carney is to speak about the national challenges and foreign policy

Lawrence Freeman, Director of the African Desk at LaRouche Organization of the United States of America, is also expected to speak at the lecture. It is to be noted that Ambassador Carney is one of the activists who oppose the American policy toward the Sudan and that he wrote many articles in this connection

The friendship of Ambassdor Timothy Carney to Sudan was culminated by publishing an illustrated book about the Sudan in 2006 by the name of: " The Sudan: the Land, the People," which was forwarded by auspicious words about Sudan by former American President Jimmy Carter. MF
