First Vice - President and Russian Envoy Review Latest Political Developments

 

Khartoum, Dec. 6 (SUNA) - The First Vice - President of the Republic and President of the Government of South Sudan (GoSS), Salva Kiir, Monday evening received at his residence in Khartoum the Russian envoy for Sudan, Michael Margilov, and reviewed the latest political developments in Sudan and the visions of the government and the Government of South Sudan to the referendum of south Sudan and the implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA)

 

In a statement to the press statement, the Russian envoy said that it is necessary that the two partners shall abide by implementation of all the clauses of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) and holding the referendum of south Sudan in the fixed time

 

He called for enabling all the people of south Sudan to vote in the referendum in full freedom and transparency and in a democratic way

 

The Russian envoy affirmed the importance of enabling the observers and the civil society organizations to monitor all the stages of the referendum process, adding that the rule of law shall be respected
