First Geological Office in Darfur States to be Established in Nyla
Khartoum, Nov. 22 (SUNA)- The Minister of Mining, Dr. Abdul-Bagi Al-Jailani, has announced establishment of the first regional geological office for the three states of Darfur, indicating that its headquarters will be in Nyla city
Establishment of the office comes within the plan for restructuring the Ministry of Mining, benefiting from minerals and the training of students in this field. He said that Darfur states are bestowed with big quantities of minerals
Meanwhile, Engineer Kamal-Eddin Osman said that the office will conduct geological studies and surveys drawing the geological map in Darfur states. He referred to the existence of several kinds of minerals in Darfur states, including iron ore, phosphate and gold
