FIFA President Expresses Satisfaction over CAF Championship Organization in Sudan
Khartoum, Feb 25 (SUNA) - President of the Football Intenational Federation Association (FIFA), Joseph Platter, has expressed his satisfaction over the organization of the African Cup Championship in Khartoum, adding that itprovided opportunity for the local teams to compete
FIFA President said in press conference organized Friday at Al-Fateh Tower Hotel by the African Football Federation (CAF) that Sudan succeeded in mobilization of the fans to encourage the game and establishment of the sports infrastructures
He lauded the unity of the football community in the African continent, especially with regard to the election of the CAF Executive Committee which was held in Khartoum in the current month, including the representatives of Africa in FIFA
The CAF Chairman, Senegalese Issa Hayatu described the current tournament which will be concluded Friday as successful, appreciating the President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Sudanese Football Association for making the tournament a success
