Egyptian Foreign Minister Affirms his Country's Support to Sudan in all Fields
Cairo, Aug. 24 (SUNA)- The State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Kamal Hassan Ali, currently visiting Cairo, Tuesday held talks with the Egyptian Foreign Minister, Ahmed Abul-Ghait, on the latest developments at the Sudanese arena, especially concerning the arrangements for holding the referendum on the future of south Sudan and the situation in Darfur
The Egyptian Foreign Minister affirmed Egypt's full support to Sudan in different fields and helping all the Sudanese parties and the two peace partners to reach solution for all the pending issues in a manner that guarantees Sudan stability and security in the coming stage
The spokesman of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Hussam Zaki, said that Abul-Ghait has called on the two partners in Sudan to agree on a clear-cut method that leads holding the referendum in full freedom, honesty and transparency
Ambassador Abul-Ghait said that the Egyptian Foreign Minister stressed the importance of solving the pending differences, top of them are the demarcation of the border between the south and the north, appointment of the Secretary General for the Commission for the Referendum, means of holding Abyei referendum and ways of implementing the people's consultancy in South Kordofan and the Blue Nile States
