Economic Expert: Sudan can increase the volume of financial securities at 22% without any risk
Khartoum, July 29 (SUNA) - An economic expert has affirmed that Sudan can increase its issuance of financial securities at 22 % without any risk, referring to the development in the growth rates of the Sudan economy and the increase in the gross and domestic product
The expert, Fatahal-Rahman Mohamed Salih, addressed a workshop on the Investment in Financial Securities, held Thursday at the Friendship Hall, representing the Society of Khartoum Stock of Exchange's Agents, said the market indicator started with 1000 points in the year 2003 and is expected to reach 4000 points in 2015
He pointed out that the volume of the issuance of financial securities attained four billion Sudanese pounds, adding that there was a trend to develop the stock of exchange market and increase issuances, explaining that the government was yearning to improve the market by encouraging the public shareholding companies and bringing down taxes
He said that the institutions that the government privatized were stipulated to be public shareholding companies and moreover, the expert added, the Central Bank of Sudan emphasized its desire to develop the issuance of financial securities
